| The development objective of the Electricity Sector Efficiency Improvement Project for Guinea is to improve the electricity sector's commercial and operational efficiency. This restructuring will bring the following changes: (1) an 18-month extension of closing date; (2) a reallocation of credit and grant proceeds; and (3) simplifying and reducing the number of disbursement categories. The closing date extension is accompanied by reallocation of funds between disbursement categories to reflect the outcome of a number of procurement contracts, whose actual amounts turned out to be different from original estimates. The restructuring will also simplify and reduce the number of disbursement categories in order to facilitate project completion and reduce the risk of further mismatches between procurement outcomes and available funds per disbursement category. | ||||
