UNOPS is an arm of the United Nations that provides project-management services in every field where the UN has a mandate - from landmine awareness to public sector reform, from informatics solutions to eradicating poverty.
In the field of development, UNOPS is the largest service provider in the United Nations system, working on behalf on more than 30 UN departments and organizations. Upon request from UN clients, UNOPS also offers services to bilateral donors, international financial institutions, developing country governments and others. Recently, UNOPS managed more than 2400 projects, with budgets totaling US$788 million in 149 countries.
