| The objective of the Sao Paulo Metro Line 5 Project for Brazil is to improve the mobility of public transport users in the Capao Redondo-Largo Treze-Chacara Klabin corridor in a cost-efficient and environmentally-friendly manner. An extension of the project from June 30, 2014 to December 30, 2016 is proposed in view of the time lost to delays outside the control of the Borrower. A satisfactory action plan has been prepared and agreed upon with the client, covering the completion of project activities within the extended implementation period. The extension will also allow the use of the cost savings realized as a result of key equipment contracts having been procured at costs less than anticipated at appraisal. The results framework will be revised as per new closing date. | ||||
