| The proposed changes to the Belarus Privatization Technical Assistance Project include (i) the acceptance of additional contribution from the Federal Ministry of Finance of Austria (the donor); (ii) extension of the closing date. The team recommends that the closing date of the project be extended till February 20, 2017 in order to conclude pending transactions, undertake restructuring/privatization of eight additional enterprises, and continue capacity building within the Republic of Belarus so that larger restructuring/privatization cases can be undertaken by the National Agency for Investment Promotion and Privatization. The National Agency for Investment Promotion and Privatization has completed the preparation of all eight pilot privatization enterprises for sale. The donor has recognized the capacity built within the Agency to undertake a new assignment and also to perform after care services for the original eight enterprises by committing to make an additional contribution and extending the program for two more years. | ||||
