RFT- International Resources for Fairer Trade was established under the Bombay Public Trust Act in 1995. A non-profit organization that represents the marginalized, under privileged sections of society, especially the most vulnerable ends of the supply chain - the producer and the consumer. IRFT has been working at the intersection of Business and Development for 21 years, giving small grower farmers and artisans access to mainstream markets, enhancing livelihoods in a sustained and holistic way. While encouraging Corporates to instill Social Responsibility and Transparency into their core values, IRFT upholds, intervenes and actively engages with all stakeholders to ensure 'Continuous Improvement' of a 'clean' and 'fair' supply chain. This commitment is demonstrated by a young and qualified versatile team of IRFT, handholding wherever necessary, building robust relationships with long-term intent, unique mentoring and training skills to build confidence in all stakeholders, and most of all upholding the principles of DECENT WORK that ensures fairness to all stakeholders in the supply chain.The vision is to elimination of poverty, to ensure fair and sustainable livelihood enhancement of the small and marginal sections of society by supporting and promoting, ‘fairness in trade’.
