The Veredas Institute's mission is to build bridges between public management, academia and civil society, so that technical and scientific knowledge can be used to improve Brazilian public policies. With this, we are convinced that our public policies can become more efficient, effective and democratic, promoting rights and guaranteeing good living conditions for all Brazilians and Brazilians.
We are a non-profit organization, composed of professionals with experience in public management and academia, who believe that the Brazilian State is able to be an important transformer of our society, but that many times great opportunities are lost due to the difficulties of accessing and bring academic knowledge into practice.
Aligned with an international debate on the urgency of bringing together the universes of public management and academic production, we work with tools to qualify the use of information, research and data for the formulation and implementation of public policies. Thus, it offers subsidies for decision-making, strengthening the spaces of participation already established and encouraging the creation of different interfaces for dialogue between public managers, universities and civil society.

We believe that every Brazilian citizen should have his fundamental rights guaranteed by the State, and we know that the sustainability of this process necessarily involves a joint effort between civil society, universities and public management.
