Established in Quebec since 1987, the Centre de coopération internationale en santé et développement (Center for international cooperation in health and development), or CCISD, became a non-profit corporation in 1996, under the Canada Corporations Act. CCISD specializes in the design, planning, management, and monitoring and evaluation of international health projects and has implemented over 100 projects in 40 countries over the past 25 years. Current activities are mainly inHaiti and in sub-Saharan Africa. CCISD is also currently officially registered locally in 6 developing countries: Haiti, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Senegal. Throughout its 25 years of experience, CCISD’s commitment to Maternal and child health has been a constant, and most present in activities to strengthen Primary Health Care, as women and children under 5 are often at least 80% of health facility users
