We provide free advice, information and advocacy to help people resolve the problems they face. We help with problems involving welfare benefits, housing, debt, money management, employment, consumer, and family and personal issues.
Most of us are volunteers, almost 100 in our team of 130 – we couldn’t open our doors every day without our amazing volunteers, who donated over 65,000 hours of their time last year.
Our advice is free, confidential, impartial and independent. We value diversity, promote equality and challenge discrimination.
We aim to provide the advice people need for the problems they face and to improve the policies and practices that affect people’s lives.
Last year, we helped 42,000 people with over 44,000 problems, increasing incomes for people using our service by £18.7 million.
