Women's Initiatives Supporting Group (WISG) is a feminist organization working on women's issues, which was founded on June 29, 2000 by eight women of different professions.
The aim of the organization is to promote the establishment of a society based on the principles of harmonious and social justice through the strengthening of women, in which all women will be provided full participation and equal participation in social, political, cultural and economic life.
The organization's special target group includes lesbian and bisexual women, transgender people, ethnic, religious minorities, rural residents, women with disabilities and other vulnerable and marginalized groups.
In order to achieve the objective, the organization will direct its activities in the following directions:
- Promote women's empowerment at both personal and interpersonal level;
- Providing equal rights and opportunities for women through advocacy and lobbying;
- Promoting equality ideas, feminist views, women and minority rights and establishing respect for their rights in society.
