Vision
A wish to see Cambodian children and youth live with rights and freedom with full support from society [provided] without discrimination or exploitation, with health and welfare, with warmth and sufficient opportunity and access to education and a balance between knowledge and social morality.
Mission
To promote rights, freedom, dignity, health, welfare and equal opportunities for children and youth in their lives, [in addition to] learning general knowledge, technical knowledge, skills and social morality and encouraging them to take part in the development of national society.
Purposes
A- To be active in providing education about children’s rights and human rights with the aim of preventing abuse, discrimination, trafficking and the exploitation of child and youth labor.
B- To encourage and provide children and youth with knowledge about social morality, health and hygiene, the dangers of drug abuse and various communicable diseases, building peace and non-violence, awareness of the ecosystem and the social environment and awareness of Khmer arts, culture, religions, customs and traditions.
C- To encourage and provide children and youth with technical training, life skills, receipt and distribution of information through advanced technology systems as well as provide possible capital materials in order for them to try business operations to earn an income with the aim of contributing to poverty reduction.
Goals
For long-standing goals, particularly within a five-year future plan, CYEO will provide the youth and children as a target group with knowledge about morality, the arts, religions, customs and traditions, rights, freedom, healthcare and welfare, knowledge about ecosystems and the social environment, life skills, techniques in receipt and distribution of information via the technology system, building peace and non-violence and skills as well as various [other] occupations by means of providing short and long term training, affording every possibility, coordination and provision of capital through wats and cooperation with local authorities and relevant institutions.
