What is Labrys?
LGBTIKS organization Labrys is a community platform with human rights and advocacy tools, driven by different generations of activists to protect the rights of LGBTIKS communities in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia.
What is our mission?
Our mission is to achieve equal rights, justice and non-discrimination of the LGBTIKS communities, based on our needs and needs, through empowering us with authority and voice, through the protection of rights and freedoms, based on universal human values.
What is our goal?
The main goal of our organization is to improve the quality of life of LGBTIKS communities in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia.
We achieve our goal by working in the following areas:
1) Providing direct support to our communities through a community approach;
2) Increasing the capacity of our communities by empowering them with voice, information and opportunities;
3) Changing the negative socio-political discourse through working with the system and established practices;
4) Organizational capacity building through improved planning and monitoring practices, the cultivation of care and support for activists, as well as continuous organizational and community self-reflection.
