Jammu and Kashmir Yateem Trust was established in the year 1972 by Late A. K Tak Zainagiri who was a academician, administrator and a renowned Philanthropist. The organization is a registered society under the Societies Registration Act of J&K under No: 186/S/73, Dated 24-7-1973. It is a Trust Registered by the court of law under J&K Trusts Act. It is registered under FCRA by Home Ministry Government of India for receiving foreign contribution.
Programmes
Orphanages - The Trust is running eight full-fledged orphanages in all the areas of Kashmir.
Institutes - The Trust runs two Schools also runs two institutes:
Banat institute of Education Alamdar Colony here orphan girls of our orphanage, Gulshan-e-Bannat and non-orphan receive quality education
Aglow Public school Now Pora Tral, where quality education is imparted to orphans and non orphans up to 10th class.
Projects - The Trust is also working on a project which aims to improve the quality of elementary education in three districts - Srinagar, Anantnag and Pulwama.
