Bani’Adam Releif and development organisation is a regional non-governmental organizaion with deep roots in Somalia, founded immediately after the collapse of the Somalia Government in 1991 by a group os Somali professional and intellectuals who came together to chart a basis for humanitarian response toward the crisis and assist in promoting peace and good governance among the afffected communities.

The absence of a functioning Government to offer basic services and counter the effect of frequent natural disasters led to great human suffering and loss of life. The continued conflict has aggraviated the situation even further, since 2007 thousands of IDPs have been displaced internally complicating the crisis and causing more suffering.

The founders of the organization are driven by a sincere desire to dedicate their time and effort towards the delivery of lifesaving humanitarian assistance to members of the most vulnerable communities trapped in the crisis in somalia through the provision of basic but essential lifesaving services, advocacy for the protection of their human rights, promotion of peace, confilct resolution and democratic governance and community capacity building.
