Since its creation in 1989, AEDH intervenes where human rights are threatened or are violated. Its mandate is to promote everywhere the rights and freedoms enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other founding texts.

Through partnerships established with local associations in countries of the South and East, AEDH supports grassroots actions and the promotion of fundamental rights, builds the capacity of local actors and supports human rights defenders. the man in danger. They are convinced that local associations acting "on the front lines" are the most competent to defend fundamental rights in a context that is familiar to them. Their organization supports them by directly providing financial, technical and / or material support for the implementation of their human rights projects.

Since its creation, Agir Ensemble for Human Rights has supported more than 300 associations in nearly 40 countries. It has consultative status with the UN.
