Yayasan Bina Usaha Lingkungan

Yayasan Bina Usaha Lingkungan (YBUL), established in 1993, is a non-profit organization situated in Jakarta, experienced and specialized in promoting and implementing programs in renewable energy, Clean Development Mechanism and community based environmentally friendly small- and medium-sized business empowerment through education, capacity building, feasibility studies and policy advocacy as well as access to microfinance and linking small- and medium-sized businesses to technology, market and financial access. YBUL's focus is particularly on rural communities.

YBUL commits itself to accelerate justice in energy through the following programs:

Community Empowerment
Environmental Financing Mechanism
Clean Development Mechanism (CDM)
Green Energy Development

EXPERTISE

After 17 years of experience, YBUL has successfully developed a broad range of expertise both through the in-house trainings as well as its associates in the fields of technology promotion, capacity building, access to financial supports, community development, business development, policy analysis, partnership and network development and public education. Through its integrated approach, YBUL is known for its leadership in the field of rural/renewable energy development.

Supported by 20 employees, including full time professionals and an extensive number of senior associates in different expertise/field, ranging from Business Development Services, Business Incubation, Financing Facilitation and Consulting activities. YBUL strength lies in its capacity to develop innovative business models and creative financing schemes that mainstream any business initiative (including community businesses) to market-based mechanism.

In performing its role, YBUL always take into consideration the impact of the programs and its activities. Therefore, to ensure the achievement of its mission in an effective way, YBUL tries to interlink and mainstream its programs and activities with existing initiatives that are already conducted by various parties such as government, banks and financiers, private entities, NGOs and the community itself.
