The Training and Development Center for Women and Family, CECADEM (El Centro de Capacitación y Desarrollo de la Mujer y Ia Familia), is a nonprofit organization established in 1991 with the aim of providing support to women for their integral development, within a framework of promotion and protection of human rights.

 

CECADEM directs its work to women in situations of poverty, discrimination and marginality living in the cities of El Alto and La Paz, extending to the family and community.

We see CECADEM as an efficient and effective working involving driving women in social development processes, economic, political and cultural under the principles of gender equity and human rights.

 

Mission

We are a nonprofit organization that contributes to the integral development of women in poverty, and marginalization discrimination, enhancing their economic capacity and the participation in all the decisions political, social and cultural rights for the full exercise equal human rights

 

CECADEM, applies the principle of training to work as an instrument social value, cultural and economic, which allows women to improve self-confidence, making the recognition and development.

 

In recent years, CECADEM has constructed a model promoting women's economic rights as an alternate intervention that contributes directly to the development of women.  CECADEM works to recognize and enhance the capacity of income generation of women is achieved faster and improvement of their conditions against violence, poverty, exclusion, discrimination and exploitation.
