CARE France

Founded in 1945, the international NGO CARE is one of the largest non-denominational and non-denominational humanitarian aid networks in the world. Their aim is to fight against extreme poverty and to defend access to fundamental rights.

Means of Action

Involvement of local communities
Projects are developed taking into account the needs, expectations and cultural specificities of the beneficiaries. Their actions are based on the participation of local actors (communities, civil society, local authorities, private sector). Their involvement in the development and implementation of programs is essential to ensure their sustainability. These are their initiatives, CARE only supports them.

Local and qualified teams
CARE's response strength lies in the expertise of its field staff. All employees are real professionals of the emergency and development with several years of experience in the sector.

In order to ensure the sustainability of projects, enhance local skills, 97% of CARE's 12,000 employees come from the countries in which they are engaged.
