Youth Scotland is the largest national youth work organisation in Scotland, supporting 64,255 young people, 1,095 youth groups and over 7,558 youth workers. Youth Scotland has been around since the early 20th century and has a diverse membership network – from small rural youth groups to large urban projects. The common goal that they all share is better outcomes for young people.

The membership network is made up of local youth groups of all sizes, area associations and Youth Scotland staff who can provide support and training on a range of youth work topics. They are proud of the varied, universal youth work the network delivers and the innovative solutions the members create in an ever-changing youth work landscape.

Areas of activity
As a national youth work agency, Youth Scotland's work is expansive and varied, but much of what they do can be put in four key areas of community based youth work:

Membership - they are a membership organisation, comprised of Area Association partners and youth groups of all sizes. 
Programmes and projects - from national initiatives and programmes to projects growing local community based youth work, they help in the development and support of those working with young people. 
Training & events - Youth Scotland offers a range of training for full time, part time, voluntary youth workers and young people. 
Youth Awards - the nationally recognised youth awards recognise and accredit the achievements of young people aged 5+. All the awards support a huge range of activity for young people.
