Founded in 1994, the Alaska Marine Conservation Council (AMCC) is a community-based, non-profit organization committed to protecting the long-term health of Alaska’s marine ecosystems and sustaining the working waterfronts of their state’s coastal communities.

Their members include fishermen, subsistence harvesters, marine scientists, business owners, conservationists, families, and others who care deeply about Alaska’s oceans.

AMCC’s team of talented staff and a dedicated Board of Directors comprise a dynamic team of individuals with wide ranging backgrounds and experience. A common trait that unites them all is their shared passion for Alaska’s incredible fisheries, irreplaceable coastal culture, and diverse marine habitats.
