The people who live in this world, their worries, needs and needs have always guided the work of Caritas. So it goes without saying for Caritas to constantly develop its offers and to provide for the necessary structures and the human and financial resources. As part of the Episcopal Curia, the Caritas of the Diocese of Linz is, according to the Statute, the central coordinating body of all charitable institutions in the diocese.

It supports the parishes in their charitable work and since 1946 as an aid and service organization has been carrying out part of the diocesan tasks in the form of qualified assistance and services as well as assistance in special emergencies and disasters.
