The Consultation of Investment in Health Promotion (CIHP), established in 1999, is a not -for - profit organization. The mission of CIHP is to promote equality, diversity, and health for all in society through a multi-disciplinary approach to action research, advocacy and intervention. All of their activity is underpinned by the principles of participation, capacity building, empowerment, social justice and environmental protection. After 15 years of operation, CIHP has gained considerable experience and a respected reputation through work with various local NGOs, social entrepreneurs, mass organizations, research institutes, INGOs, UN agencies and governmental organizations. In 2008, CIHP established an affiliated local NGO named Center for Creative Initiatives in Health and Population (CCIHP). This organization helps to strengthen the research capacity of CIHP because CCIHP is functioning within the network of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), which provides more opportunities for partnering with other research institutions.
