Women Against Abuse

Women Against Abuse Incorporated in 1976 was a part-time hotline in a women’s center and is now the leading domestic violence advocate and service provider in Philadelphia and among the largest domestic violence agencies in the country.

Women Against Abuse has expanded throughout the years to provide a comprehensive array of services to help individuals seek safety from abuse and rebuild lives free from violence. Today, Women Against Abuse serves over 15,000 individuals annually through its emergency safe havens (2 – 100 bed safe havens), transitional housing, legal services, hotline counseling, behavioral health, aftercare community based services, prevention & education, and advocacy.

Women Against Abuse, a 501(c)3 nonprofit agency, is Philadelphia’s leading domestic violence advocate and service provider and among the largest domestic violence agencies in the country.
