The Legal Resources Centre aspires towards a fully democratic equal society. Its goals are to promote justice using the Constitution, build respect for the rule of law, and contribute to socio-economic transformation within South Africa and beyond.
The LRC is a human rights organization in South Africa. It uses the law as an instrument of justice for the vulnerable and marginalised, including poor, homeless, and landless people and communities who suffer discrimination by reason of race, class, gender, disability or by reason of social, economic, and historical circumstances. The LRC started in Johannesburg in 1979.
