The Trust, established in 2002, with the mission to “Empower Lives”, has been working across India and the Asia region, for improving quality in education, strengthening citizenship amongst youth, harnessing the power of technology for educational and social improvement and supporting sustainable social innovation.

In all, they aim to improve systems so that more people are more able to create the futures they envision for themselves, their communities and societies. The work at Learning Links carries us into new initiatives, engaging with a growing network of partners creating a synergy where initiatives truly work together and create an impact across all ages.

Projects:

Formal Education

The Foundation has provided opportunities for improvement to over 900,000 teachers, Student-Teachers and Faculty of Higher Education Institutes, since 2003. Representatives of Learning Links Foundation are spread across 15 states and work in partnership with 55 Universities across India.

Learning Links Foundation has done extensive work to support Indian youth with skills required to succeed in the workforce. Almost 100,000 students have been given a chance to work on technology driven socially relevant projects that are aimed at not only addressing common community problems but are also provided with the opportunity to be employed by technology leaders.

The team at Learning Links Foundation has developed localized and adapted content to suit the diverse requirements of its audience. Specialists at Learning Links Foundation have worked on over 1000 hours of professional development material in over 35 world languages, including 8 Indian languages.

Non-Formal Education

The Foundation supports and implements community development programs across the country focusing on providing innovative learning experiences for children between the age of 12 and 16. These programs, run in community centers, help improve digital fluency, critical thinking and collaborative skills among youth who have little or no access to technology. So far over 50,000 children have been impacted by this initiative.

Citizenship

LLF has initiated a project based Civic Education initiative that provides students with knowledge, enhances their skills and deepens their understanding on how to work together, to make their community a better and more productive place to live in.

The project encourages civic participation amongst students, teachers, parents and members of the community and motivates students to work in collaboration and identify a problem in their community as well as study the local policies related to the problem,

Spread over 16 States, the program has helped reach over 5000 students so far.

Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship

Learning Links Foundation has launched ‘SABAL’ a program for empowering aspiring youth to plan and increase their business with the use of IT tools. It addresses the entrepreneurial education needs of the target audience and helps them to improve and strengthen their skills - regardless of backgrounds, locations or circumstances.

With its decade long involvement in the field, Learning Links Foundation has identified the need for next-generation capacity development of student teachers and teachers to cater to the ever-increasing growth of the education sector market. The Foundation has launched a program for empowering teachers and student teachers with entrepreneurial skills which would result in multi fold expansion of scope for job opportunities after teacher training.
