The Antinea Foundation is an international NGO, based in Geneva Switzerland, which seeks to reconcile the wellbeing of humanity and a wide range of human activities with the need for a healthy global marine environment.

The foundation, which was incorporated in 2007, works towards achieving this mission primarily through the operation of its principal project – The Changing Oceans Expedition –see: www.changingoceans.org .

It aims at creating synergies between organisations for ocean conservation, NGOs, politicians, businesses and scientists while involving and informing the greater public.

The mission of the Antinea Foundation is to:

-contribute to a better scientific understanding of the marine environment

-raise public awareness on the importance of protecting it

-enable individuals to experience life at sea by participating in its projects
