Global Playground is a 501(c)(3) public charity committed both to funding the education of children in underdeveloped and developing countries, and promoting the importance of education and cross-cultural understanding in the developing world. 

They believe strongly that education is the most promising means to eliminating poverty, violence, intolerance, and misunderstanding in their world. They also believe that young minds are most open to cross-cultural understanding and appreciation of cultural differences.

Projects
Global Playground started in 2006 by building Project Uganda, a school for 300 children in the rural Wakiso District. Some new projects underway:

> Project Cambodia, a middle school for 150 children in the outskirts of Kandal
> Project Thailand, a library for 400 children in the remote Mae Hong Song province
> Project Honduras, a new learning center equipped with technology for 200 students
> Project Vietnam, a primary school for 140 students in the Quang Tri province
> Project Myanmar, a new primary school for up to 40 children in Shan State
> Project Philippines, Global Playground's latest endeavor to rebuild three classrooms in a Capiz elementary school destroyed by typhoon
