Since, 1981, AEAI South Asia has spread throughout India (19 states and one union territory), Sri Lanka (3 locations) and Nepal (5 regions), evolving as Aide et Action International – South Asia (AEAI-SA). AEAI-SA operates through nine offices - seven in India and one in Colombo and Kathmandu. The South Asia headquarters are in Chennai.

Aide et Action International began its interventions in India in 1981. AEAI India was the first country programme. Over the years, it has evolved itself as an organisation. Today, Aide et Action International (AEAI) South Asia is working across 19 states and 3 union territories in India.

With the help of 36 local level NGO partners, it runs14 directly implemented projects on various issues of development, and 121 skills based training centres across the country for livelihood generation.
The programmes in India are managed through 7 regional offices located in Jaipur, Delhi, Patna, Guwahati, Bhopal, Hyderabad and Chennai. The South Asia Head quarter is based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

The main objective of AEAI-SA has been education, with a special focus on educating girls and migrant children. At Aide et Action International, we believe that education is the answer to social change. We seek to make-Education for All - a reality by focusing on basic education for the disadvantaged and vulnerable populations. Till date we have reached out to 2 lakh children, 70,000 youth, 2,500 people with disabilities and 1,900 schools.
