YAMIDA is a local foundation focused on building the institutional capacity of MFIs using the Grameen model to reduce poverty in Indonesia. It provides technical assistance, training, research, and consultancy. It established its first branch in Aceh in September 2005. Outreach: Since September 2005, YAMIDA has opened 74 centers in 22 villages and is operating in the tsunami-affected sub-districts of Baitussalam, Darussalam, Ingin Jaya, and Kling Barona Jaya.
