BRITDOC is a non profit based in London and New York, backed by Bertha Foundation & Ford Foundation amongst others, whose mission is to befriend independent filmmakers, fund great films, broker new partnerships, build new business models, share knowledge and develop audiences globally.

Since 2005, BRITDOC has supported over 270 independent feature documentary films. Providing development, production and outreach funding as well as editorial support to some of the most creative and talented filmmakers from over 30 countries.

Films supported have included the award winning CITIZENFOUR, Virunga, Look of Silence, All These Sleepless Nights, The Possibilities Are Endless, Pussy Riot, The Square, Dirty Wars, Hell & Back Again, The Yes Men Are Revolting, The End Of The Line, No Fire Zone, Who Is Dayani Cristal?, Ping Pong, Self Made, Swandown, The Bengali Detective, Calvet, Afghan Star.

As the arts and journalism landscape changes, in addition to funding films directly, BRITDOC’s priority is helping connect great films to new partners who can use them with global programmes like Good Pitch.
