Building Markets (formerly Peace Dividend Trust) is a nonprofit social enterprise that build markets and creates jobs to sustain peace in developing countries by championing local entrepreneurs and connecting them to new business opportunities.

Operating in Liberia, Myanmar, and Mozambique, Building Markets has redirected over $1.1 billion in international spending into these local economies and has helped to create over 120,000 jobs.

In 2010, the Skoll Foundation recognized Building Markets as one of a handful of social enterprises affecting measurable and sustainable change in the developing world. U.S. President Obama awarded the organization the G20 SME Finance Challenge prize at the annual heads of state gathering in Seoul, Korea in November 2010.
