The ARGE is an association according to Art. 60ff Civil Code. The governing body is the public general assembly, the organization is led by the respective elected board for one year. It is responsible for the management of the day-to-day business. The association is registered in the commercial register. Its accounting according to commercial principles is audited by an external auditor, currently BDO AG, St. Gallen.

The ARGE, or as it is called in its entirety: ARGE Integration Ostschweiz, is an association organized under private law, which has started its activities in the 1960s and has since developed into a professional service organization. It sees itself as an organization whose activities are all under the motto "Integration is understanding" stand. The aim is to facilitate the understanding of local and migrant populations and to strengthen the institutions of the host society in their capacity to deal with diversity. The integration capacity of the host society and the willingness to integrate the migrant population should be encouraged. The ARGE is a long-standing established and successful organization for the integration of a wide range of tasks:
