The International Help Fund supports medical and rural development projects in Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe. The focus is on helping rural populations, the old and the sick, orphans, refugees, and minorities. Projects tackle, among other things, access to safe drinking water, irrigation, agriculture, vocational training for doctors, and desertification. They also work to foster public awareness of issues that impact citizens’ health and living standards.
This foundation is based in Germany with branches throughout the world. The foundation is also in the process of creating a treatment center for pregnant women whose health has been affected by nuclear tests and medical services to treat mothers and children with viral hepatitis. Proceeds from the subscription of their monthly magazine have been directed to orphanages.
