The Ayrton Senna Institute is a non-profit organization that works to expand opportunities for children and young people through education.

For more than 20 years, their mission has been to develop the whole human being, preparing for life in the 21st century in all its dimensions. Driven by the desire of three-time Formula One champion Ayrton Senna to build a better Brazil, they work in partnership with public managers, educators, researchers and other organizations to build evidence-based educational policies and practices. They are constantly in the process of innovation, continually researching new knowledge to meet the challenges of a changing world.

Based on the main challenges of education identified by managers and educators with whom they work day to day, they produce, systematize and validate critical knowledge for the advancement of the quality of education in a joint work with public education networks. All the knowledge produced is shared with more actors through initiatives of training, diffusion, technical cooperation and technology transfer.

Their actions are funded by donations, licensing resources and by partnerships with the private sector . Considering initiatives aimed at Elementary and High School, they are in 17 states and more than 660 municipalities and they benefit the education of more than 1,5 million students per year.
