ACT NOW! is a community advocacy organiastion that assists ordinary people to make their voices are heard in relation to matters of national importance in Papua New Guinea. They are an independent not for profit organisation registered in PNG. ACT NOW! is not affiliated with any corporation, political party, government, or other non-government organization.

ACT NOW! wants to help build a better PNG where the National Goals and Directive Principles in their Constitution guide their development, as they intended at Independence.

ACT NOW! uses the internet, social networking tools and direct community engagement to highlight critical issues affecting Papua New Guinea and allow the voices of ordinary people to be heard in the formulation of practical and realistic solutions. They encourage the masses to, Speak Out and Provoke Change.

VISION AND MISSION

ACT NOW! believes in an economically independent Papua New Guinea where:

- they share their resources so there is opportunity for everyone;
- they are all involved in decision making; 
- they protect and defend their human rights and their land;
- services meet the needs of the people; 
- they make wise use of their natural resources; and
- they protect their environment so it can protect and nurture theirr future generations.

VISION
They share the Vision that was set out for them by their Founding Fathers at Independence and it is the Vision that is embedded in the National Goals in their Constitution. They envision a PNG where resources are shared equitably; government services meet the needs of the people; and their environment is manged sustainably while wise use is made of their natural resources.

MISSION
To ensure the voice of ordinary people are heard and that the relationship between the land, people, culture and nature is not only protected, but celebrated and used as a guide to future development.

GOAL
Papua New Guinea’s National Goals are upheld so that all laws, resource projects and government policies and practices reflect their spirit and intention.

ACT NOW! members are united in their belief that Papua new Guinea has lost its way because it has lost sight of their National Goals and that if they can rediscover them they can build a better future.
