Founded in 2004, World Partners for Development is a dedicated 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower young people with the tools they need to make impact on vital community issues and their lives.
WHAT THEY DO

IMPACT AREAS
Youth Empowerment Services (YES)
Their Youth Empowerment Services program targets vulnerable youth who possess leadership potential but lack opportunities to develop it in a positive way. They conduct this program in underserved communities to train, and encourage young people to lead positive change in their communities. Their target youth develop skills in leadership, entrepreneurship skills, computer skills, civic engagement, critical thinking, team building, and other vital areas. Youth Participants learn to identify local issues and problems in their communities, such as youth violence and the high school dropout rate, and to research and propose solutions. They become confident leaders who are empowered to make a difference in civic life and their own lives.They become advocates for their communities, addressing issues that affect them and their communities.
TALK (Technology and Leaning Konnections) Program
The TALK program connects across global borders, sharing knowledge, successes, culture, and lessons learned with each other and the sector as a whole. Knowledge will be explored and shared widely to change-makers in the youth innovation and employment space through webinars, conferences and engaging digital channels.
Environmental Education & Sustainable Gardening
Empower youth to create a sustainable community garden. Research and use alternative gardening methods that won’t have a negative impact on water quality like some traditional gardening practices can. Provide environmental education and field visits.
