Hospice Africa is a UK charity, founded in 1993 by Dr Anne Merriman MBE. Based on Merseyside, it draws supporters from all over the UK and beyond. It is committed to providing, or supporting the provision of, palliative care to cancer and HIV/AIDS patients, principally in sub-Saharan Africa. In the UK Africa (HAUK) is mainly a fund raising organisation.

The funds raised are then used to support the work of various partners working in different African countries who carry out the work of providing, encouraging and spreading the ethos of palliative care. It is particularly linked to  (HAU) but helps support work in other Africa countries.
