Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA)
The Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) was created in 1992 and reports to the office of the Prime Minister. Its fundamental mission is to make a contribution to cooperation as a regional leader and build relationships for trust and stability in its region. It emphasises assistance that contributes to resolving humanitarian problems and targets the level and type of assistance it offers to the relative development of partner countries. It works in social sectors such as education, health, water and sanitation; on economic and financial infrastructrure projects; in agriculture and industry; and, in cultural cooperation.
