| The Board of Directors of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) has determined that Georgia is eligible to receive compact assistance from MCC, and the Government of the Georgia (GoG) and MCC are currently developing a Millennium Challenge Compact with Georgia to advance economic growth and poverty reduction in Georgia. The GoG has received pre-compact grant funding of US$2,700,000 from MCC to facilitate the development of the compact, under the authority of section 609(g) of the Millennium Challenge Act of 2003. A portion of the proceeds from this pre-compact grant and financial contribution from the GoG will be used to procure goods and services. | ||||
