Component 1. Expanding the coverage of basic education and the Youth and Adult. The goal is to expand the supply and improve the infrastructure of basic education the state network, financing the following activities: (i) construction and equipping of 12 Education Centers Integral Time (CETI) and equipment adaptation and 20 other school units the same pattern, increasing 18 000 vacancies in the state network, as estimated enrollment of new centers, (ii) construction and equipping of two new Centers for Youth and Adult Education (CEJA) creating 10,000 jobs, and (iii) expand the coverage of State System Technology Mediated Instruction (SEMMT) in 15,000 new students in 560 schools receiving stations installing and adapting classrooms and construction of the new headquarters of the Media Center. Component 2. Improved progression, completion and quality of basic education. Improving student achievement rates, reducing distortion age / year and improved student performance in the state are the objectives of this component. This will finance the following activities: (i) implementation of a program of accelerated learning and tutoring. In the first case, 80 000 students attend EF, to correct the distortion of age / grade, while the latter will benefit 60,000 students in EF and EM will receive reinforcement in Portuguese, mathematics and other disciplines, (ii) strengthening the process of incorporating new teachers to meet the expansion of the offer, which includes reviewing competitions for the selection of teachers, implementation of new processes mapping and implementation of a system of "coaching" for easy insertion teaching, and strengthening in-service training for 30,000 teachers in specific disciplines, pedagogical skills required for each level, which includes the development of materials and the operation of the center for teacher training Sox, and (iii ) develop and implement the Portal and Virtual Learning Environment. Component 3. Management and monitoring and evaluating the school network. The component will strengthen the capacity of management and monitoring SEDUC, through these activities: (i) redesigning administrative processes between SEDUC, regional units and schools, implementing a new management system, providing the necessary equipment for their operation ( ii) expand the Performance Evaluation System School of Amazonas (SADEAM) and new disciplines and indigenous education, (iii) training of 3,000 school administrators and officials SEDUC and (iv) design and implementation of evaluation processes and impacts of the program. Component 4. Program Administration. In order to provide the capacity SEDUC to run the program, there will be: (i) the creation of the executive unit, the procurement of goods and services for operation of management support, and (ii) contracting external audit services.
