HIV Alliance was founded in 1994 to support people living with HIV/AIDS and prevent new HIV infections. HIV Alliance was formed in Eugene, OR in 1994 to support individuals living with HIV/AIDS and prevent new HIV infections. Over the years, state funding towards HIV prevention has suffered severe cuts. To counteract this, non-profits, including HIV Alliance, have widened their service scopes despite the already limited budgets they operate under. This expansion of services includes education on HIV and HCV (Hepatitis C), behavioral health for current and new clients, and a variety of events to reach out to our communities. HIV Alliance currently provides care coordination, nurse management, and pharmaceutical support to people living with HIV/AIDS in 11 counties: Lane, Douglas, Jackson, Marion, Josephine, Coos, Klamath, Lake, Lincoln, Curry, and Clatsop Counties.
