Hispañola Health Partners is an international, non-profit, health services organization. It is designed to support the self-alleviation of extreme poverty and its devastating effects on community health and welfare. During our initial visit to the village of Marre-Joffrey, where most saw desperation and hopelessness, we saw a community of leaders eager to help themselves. After extensive research, feasibility studies, community surveys, and networking with local community groups, government agencies, and Haitian medical professionals, we committed an investment of expertise and resources to build a sustainable, Haitian-owned program of primary health care service delivery.
