International Christian Concern (ICC)

International Christian Concern (ICC) is a non-profit organization which exists to relieve the suffering of the worldwide persecuted church and help it grow in strength and breadth by providing effective assistance, advocacy and awareness with integrity toward God and our donors.

Since 1995, ICC has served as an advocate for the worldwide persecuted Church. We are committed to connecting the Western world to the needs of the 200 million Christians around the world who suffer persecution for their faith in Christ.

OUR WORK

ICC seeks to serve and build the persecuted Church in strength and breadth through effective Advocacy, Assistance, and Awareness. We call these The Three A’s.

Advocacy

Advocacy is at the core of ICC’s mission to support the persecuted church. Advocacy is working through government leaders (US Congress, State Department, and the White House) to change legislation, bring pressure on persecuting countries, or to secure the release of the imprisoned. Advocacy is a challenging yet important function that ICC provides for suffering Christians, not because we believe that we can ultimately stop persecution before Christ’s return, but because Scripture shows plainly His heart towards the afflicted and His call to us to speak up for them and defend them.

Assistance

Assistance refers to practical help and finances we offer the persecuted church to heal, to withstand blows, or to grow in depth and breadth. ICC offers Bibles and community rebuilding for the persecuted. We also have funds for supporting underground pastors and caring for families of hunted, imprisoned, or murdered pastors. Our Hand of Hope fund allows you to designate your gifts to the specific country you care about the most.

Awareness

As faithful stewards of God’s word, ICC feels that we have been called to stand in the massive gap created by the mainstream media and educate those around us about the existence and severity of Christian persecution worldwide. This is why we’ve developed a number of reports and resources designed to educate and equip others to help us raise awareness for the persecuted. We post daily persecution news; issue press releases; maintain our Crossing the Bridge blog; emphasize a particular people group or issue in our Persecution Spotlight; and publish the Annual Hall of Shame, which catalogs the 10 nations in the world where persecution runs most rampant.
