The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust is a charitable foundation established in 2012 to mark and celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s sixty-year contribution to the Commonwealth.

They have received support from governments, corporate partners, trusts, foundations, community groups and individuals from across the Commonwealth.

Their mission is to enrich the lives of people from all backgrounds within the Commonwealth by working with partners towards eliminating avoidable blindness and empowering a new generation of young leaders.

Approach

With a five-year time frame in which to deliver successful programmes, their aim is to leave a lasting legacy, owned by the whole Commonwealth, in honour of Her Majesty The Queen.

Through grants, advocacy and convening, they are working with partners to create sustainable improvements to the lives of Commonwealth citizens, in line with Commonwealth priorities.

Their focus is on the empowerment of a new generation of Commonwealth leaders, and the ending of avoidable blindness.
