Nestled in the treetops, overlooking the volcanic crater lake lies The Peace Project Nicaragua. The Peace Project is a non-governmental organization that seeks to improve quality of life and economic well being in the impoverished communities on the shores of Laguna de Apoyo, one of Nicaragua's major tourist destinations.

Working collaboratively within the community, the project is expanding educational opportunities for youth and facilitating local stewardship of the environment. Funding for the project's initiatives comes from donors and the proceeds of the Peace Project Hostel, an accommodation for tourists and volunteers, and our on site dive center, Volcano Divers
