   Required Qualifications and Experience
a. The consultant should have a wide experience working in the agricultural and rural development sector, particularly in Africa. Specific experience with the Ghana’s agricultural sector will be an added advantage. The consultant should have good analytical skills, experience with capacity development project/programme management, and monitoring and evaluation. Experience with sector wide approach of programs implementation will be an added advantage.
b. At least a Master’s degree in business development; development finance; development studies, agriculture economics, sociology, rural development or any other related degree.
c. At least 10 years working experience in agriculture and rural development.
d. Experience in design and formulation of bankable development projects and programs.
e. Strong background working with Public sector such as Ministries of Agriculture, finance, trade or related agencies in developing countries, particularly in Sub-Saharan African countries;
f. Strong knowledge of agricultural sector in Ghana including respective policies, strategies and program;
g. Available to start the assignment immediately.
h. Proven ability to deal with multiple stakeholders and a range of complex agriculture and development issues.
i. Ability to create organizational work plans based on higher-level goals;
j. Proficiency in both written and spoken English;
k. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience in working with a wide range of individuals in government, private sector and civil society;
