AGRA - Sustainably Growing Africa's Food Systems
   Objectives of the consultancy
The overall objective of this assignment is to ensure that AGRA acquires a KM system that meets the needs
of the institution and its personnel - a functional system that enables users to access knowledge products
as and when needed. This Consultancy shall involve (1) reviewing the current KMS and information tools
with a view to rationalizing it and (2) developing/customizing the system within AGRA’s SharePoint
platform. The customized tools/systems should be responsive to the staff needs and be able to provide
core AGRA information to users across AGRA countries in an easy and efficient way.
In order to enhance collaboration, streamline information sharing, and improve overall productivity,
AGRA recognizes the need for a robust knowledge management portal. Currently, valuable information is
fragmented across various systems such as email threads, shared drives, individual computers, and
physical documents. A well-designed knowledge management portal will empower our employees with
easy access to critical documents like policies, procedures manuals, project documentation/templates;
facilitate collaborative workspaces for team projects; provide discussion forums/question-answer boards;
and encourage effective communication between individuals at different levels within the organization
